I am Pim van Wetten. I live in the Netherlands together with my girlfriend and my son (2007). I try to sport as much as possible to compensate for my other hobby: wining and dining. If I got some spare time left, I really try to go out with my photo camera as much as possible and try to read as much as possible. I occasionally play a game on my Wii (Zelda ftw!) or PS3.
I work at Omron Europe as an eStrategy Engineer since februari 2012. I finished college in ’99 at the HES in Amsterdam where I studied computer science. I started working at my first employer e-office in the same year. I began as a Lotus Notes developer but soon turned to Java because I wanted to properly develop OO applications. After 6 years I decided I had seen enough coding because I wanted to see the customer myself :)
I was a projectmanager for a short period of time and in 2007 I started to consult about Websphere portal. One year later I heard about Enterprise2.0 and Enterprise Social Software. After 4 years of consulting on internal social media I really wanted to get my hands dirty with external social media. That’s why I switched jobs and started working for Omron Europe, a company that’s really ambitious about social media in the B2B market and about social business in general.
I also keep a content curation page on social business. More social links are gathered on my about me page.
Just to be clear, this is a personal blog on social business. My views do not necessarily represent Omron’s view.

Hi Pim!
Bedankt voor “Liking my post”.
